What is the 6-Week AI Adoption Programme?

The 6-Week AI Adoption Programme is a guided Microsoft 365 Copilot programme from NuaVantage for Irish business owners and teams. Over six weeks you get 30 short tasks by email, one each weekday and each taking about 15 minutes, and complete them in Copilot using your own real work, so that by the end it's a daily habit.

It's delivered by NuaVantage, an official Microsoft CSP founded by James McClenaghan. It costs €595 + VAT, and you can start any time.

Who it's for

Not the right fit if you're a developer looking for technical depth, or if your business isn't on Microsoft 365. See our other AI training options instead.

How it works: 15 minutes a day, 5 days a week

One task in your inbox each weekday

Every weekday you get one short task by email. Each has a single clear outcome and should take no more than 15 minutes.

Log it in your tracker

Record each task's status, the minutes you spent and a quick comment. Those minutes feed your hours-saved audit in week 6.

The Friday reflection journal

Every Friday you answer four questions:

  1. Top Win: What was the single most useful thing you learned this week?
  2. Application: Where might you apply this in the future?
  3. Friction: What felt clunky, frustrating, or gave a poor result?
  4. Pacing Check: Were the tasks the right difficulty and under 15 minutes?

The week-by-week plan

Here's what each week covers. The example tasks show the kind of real work you'll use Copilot for.

Week 1: Fundamentals, safety and quick wins

Copilot web & mobile · Copilot Chat

Set up Copilot, agree a firm "no personal or customer data" rule, try voice-first prompting, tidy and pin your chats, and turn photos of notes into tables.

Example task: photograph a handwritten supplier note and have Copilot turn it into a tidy table.

Week 2: Advanced prompting and control

Copilot Chat

Learn the NuaVantage prompt framework (Role, Context, Outcome, Audience, Success Criteria), then meta-prompting (asking Copilot what it needs to know), reverse prompting (letting Copilot ask you questions first), a master prompt saved in Copilot's preferences, and teaching Copilot your brand voice.

Example task: ask Copilot to question you one step at a time before it drafts a reply to an unhappy customer.

Week 3: Copilot in Outlook and Word

Outlook · Word

Summarise long email threads, get tone coaching on difficult replies, draft documents and procedures, turn messy notes into action plans, and learn to "trust but verify" by checking sources and spotting made-up content.

Example task: summarise a 12-email supplier thread, then draft a firm but polite reply disputing an invoice.

Week 4: Copilot in Excel and search

Excel · Microsoft 365 Copilot search

Turn raw exports into proper tables, ask questions of your data in plain English, generate formulas, find files across Outlook, Teams and OneDrive, and compare documents.

Example task: upload two supplier price lists and have Copilot compare minimum spend and delivery terms.

Week 5: The strategic sounding board

Copilot Chat

Use Copilot as a devil's advocate, weigh decisions against cash flow, rehearse difficult conversations, brainstorm local marketing and plan scenarios such as rota cover.

Example task: ask Copilot to argue against a planned purchase and list the risks you haven't considered.

Week 6: Automation and reusability

Copilot agents · Agent Builder

Explore Microsoft's built-in agents, build a shared prompt playbook, design and test your own custom agent, and finish with your hours-saved audit.

Example task: build a simple agent that checks supplier price sheets against your own rules, and test it on real sheets.

What you'll have at the end

How we measure the time you save

In week 6 you complete an hours-saved audit. Using the minutes you've logged in your tracker and the tasks you now hand to Copilot, you estimate how many hours a week Copilot saves your business. The figure is yours, based on your own work, not a generic industry claim.

The programme was first run with a community pharmacy client, adapted to pharmacy work such as supplier and wholesaler updates, procedures and price comparisons, with a strict no-patient-data rule.

Frequently asked questions

What is the 6-Week AI Adoption Programme?

It's a guided Microsoft 365 Copilot programme from NuaVantage for Irish business owners and teams. Over six weeks you get 30 short tasks by email, one each weekday, and complete them in Copilot using your own real work. It finishes with a custom Copilot agent and an audit of the hours you save.

How long does it take each day?

About 15 minutes. You get one task by email every weekday for six weeks, 30 tasks in total. On Fridays there's also a short four-question reflection. Most people fit it in first thing in the morning or at the end of the day.

Is it 6 weeks or 30 days?

Both describe the same thing: 30 daily tasks spread across six working weeks, Monday to Friday. It isn't 30 calendar days in a row, so your weekends are free.

How much does it cost, and when can I start?

The programme costs €595 + VAT, and you can start any time. There are no cohorts or waiting lists. Your Microsoft 365 Copilot licence is separate.

Do I need a Copilot licence?

Yes. Each participant needs a paid Microsoft 365 Copilot licence, because the programme uses Copilot inside Outlook, Word and Excel, Copilot search and agents. If you don't have one, we'll advise you on the best way to get it and, as an official Microsoft CSP, we can supply it.

Do I need any technical knowledge?

No. It's built for business owners and non-technical staff. If you can send an email and use a web browser, you can do the tasks. Everything is in plain English.

What prompt framework do you teach?

In week 2 you learn NuaVantage's five-part framework: Role, Context, Outcome, Audience and Success Criteria. Give Copilot those five things and you get better results first time, then save your best prompts in a shared playbook.

Is it safe to use Copilot with our business information?

Day one sets a firm rule about what must never go into Copilot, such as personal or customer data. Week 3 teaches you to check every output before you use it.

We already did Copilot training and nothing changed. Why would this be different?

One-off workshops show you features. This programme builds a habit: 30 short practice tasks on your own work, emailed each weekday, a Friday reflection journal to track what's working, and an audit of your own hours saved at the end.

Does the EU AI Act mean I have to train staff on AI?

Article 4 of the AI Act requires organisations whose staff use AI systems to take measures to support their AI literacy. It has applied since February 2025. No certificate is required; keeping an internal record of the training you've provided is enough.

Can I get funding for the programme?

Possibly, so check first. Skillnet's Upskill SME grant only reimburses salary costs for approved courses of at least one day. LEO's Grow Digital Voucher can include training as part of a new-software project. Enterprise Ireland's Digital Discovery grant doesn't cover training.
